I think we just had our best 4th of July ever. It was like in those movies - small town America: gathering in a park with a small, beautiful lake in the center, people picnicking and tailgating everywhere. In Chickasha (where
we have the rent house we bought last year) the LDS church is located in the actual park, which is big, and today it was a family fun zone with games, face painting, cotton candy, nachos and hotdogs plus two moon bounces. We all brought our lawn chairs and picnic blankets and had a great time. This was Anja's and Julia's first time seeing a real firework display. It went on for 20 minutes and well exceeded any of our expectation for a small town. There were lots of people around the park, parking their cars and trucks on the grass. The fireworks were then reflected in the lake which was really neat.
