Nature Trail in late April 2014

Easter Egg Hunt with the cousins

Eliot and Merritt came up and spent Easter weekend with us. Jim came too, of course. It was a lot of fun.

 This was taken post-egg hunt.

 Lots of candy!

 Uncle Jim is always popular.

 Eliot and Merritt.

 Harry Potter Clue.

Uncle Jim can nap anytime, anywhere.
The girls put the blankets on him afterwards.

This lovely picture was on the camera.

Easter Carnival 2014

While Isak spent the day at a Scout Merit Badge Fair, and Mark worked all day at the house, the girls and I spent the day of April 12th at the Victory Church Easter Fair. Victory Church is the nieghbor od Julia's Rainbow Head Start, and also just around the corner of Jackson Elemetnary so it was like a big neighborhood block party, with lots of people we knew. There was an egg hunt, face paint, egg dying and all sorts of fun activities.

 Egg hunt

 Face paint.

Julia and her best friend from Rainbow Headstart the last two years, Brooklyn,
are showing off their face paint.

 Dyeing eggs.
And Elina suited up for the trampoline bungee cords,
something she has wanted to do for a LONG time.
Anja decided to be brave, too.

 Elina LOVED IT!

Fast videon togs på sluttampen när de inte hoppade så högt

 They had good snacks, too!

Medieval Fair 2014

Every year in Norman, the first weekend in April, the Medieval Fair (or Renaissance Fair) is held. I think it is neither Medieval nor Renaissance, but it is a lot of fun. The girls and I went. I think Mark and Isak were working on the rent house in Norman that day, as they were so many Saturdays this past year.

This turned out to be a very fun carousel.

Arr mateys, there were pirates there too!
We didn;t buy anything, but it was fun to try on a few things.
 Even someone completely impartial
can see that this is the cutest Little Red Riding Hood there ever was!

Elina's favorite part about the fair were all the dogs!

Like I said -- not Medieval, nor Renaissance.
But a lot of fun.

Tornado Drills

After the tragedies in the Moore tornado on May 20th, 2013, our tornado procedures changed at Jackson Elementary. Here are a few pictures from our spring tornado drill. Thankfully, we had extremely little tornadic activity this spring. I won't deny that this exercise felt a little eerie.
