Rockport, TX / Padre Island Trip 2014, part 1

This is the third time we have gone on vacation to Corpus Christ, TX area. As always, it meant an all day in the car. And we left, as usual, two hours before our planned departure time. I don't know what it is that takes so long to pack six people into a car, but it does.
Books, audio books and movies kept the kids entertained. Elina read the book she is holding in the picture, no less than THREE times before the end of the trip.
Tack, Mormor!
We stopped at Cabelas on the way there. I got a new pair of sandals, and Isak got flip flops.

Ready for the beach!
This was underneath our beach house.

The kids made me take pictures of everything inside, so we could remember:

Isak and Elina shared this room.
And this is where Julia and Anja slept.
Our second swim was at our friends, the King's house. They live on the canal which has boat access, but is extremely salty.

 The boys went fishing!

Elina got shrimp so we was ecstatic!

This was just such a funny of picture of Julia, taken one day on the way to the beach.
She always wore her goggles in the car the whole way there.
She does NOT like to get salt water in her eyes.

Julia's graduation from Rainbow HeadStart

After two years at Rainbow HeadStart, Julia graduated! She was first a "Frog" when she was three years old, and then a "Busy Bee" when she turned four. She learned so many things during those two years. It would not have been a good fit for any of our other kids to start "school" that young, but for Julia it was perfect!

In line for getting their "diplomas."

 The new "graduates."
This is the picture Mark took of Julia and me.
Oh well, we're both in it. :)
Some of the graduates and their teachers.
Julia's best friend, Brooklyn, in the pink dress.

Isak 6th grade Spring Concert

Elina 4th grade Music Program

In 4th grade, if you are a student at Norman Public Schools, you get to play the recorder. Elina had her performance at the end of April. The performance was called the 11th Hour.
