Snow days winter 2013-2014

We had several snow days, both in December, January and February. heck, even as I write this (the REASON I have TIME to write this in the middle of the day) is that we have a snow day today, which means no school. It is unprecedented to have snow in Oklahoma on March 3rd. Here are some glorious pictures of normally completely snow-deprived kids enjoying the white stuff.

VIDEO here:

Christmas 2013

Christmas Eve we spent alone, but we must have been good, because SANTA CAME IN PERSON again this year! VIDEO HERE!
A glimpse of the Christmas stockings can be seen HERE.
Christmas Day was a fun get-together with Mark's three brothers and all the Fisher cousins.

FILMER: Christmas Madness  Christmas Piano with Troy. :)

Christian, Cecilia, Anja, Eliot, Elina on the left.
Merritt, Jim, Isak, Craig and Mark on the right.
Elina had made the snowflake in the ceiling all by herself.

 The madness has begun.
 Waiting to open still.

Isak 6th grade Christmas Band concert

Isak had a Christmas concert with his band. He is no longer playing the violin in orchestra, but tried out as one of 20 for percussion in band. He was one of the 6 who made the percussion!

Click to see and hear the brand new band players doing Ode to Joy and one other song! The little enthusiastic "howler" you can hear on the film would be Julia.

The picture above shows Isak sitting next to his buddy Brody, from church, who plays the tuba. They have several classes together at school.

Lucia 2013

 Uppvärmning i körrummet.
 Luciatåget på scen.
 Anja gillade julbordet.
 Delar av familjen Jensen:
Carolina, Maya, Hannah och Matt.
 Anna-Sofia och hennes tre flickor.
Julia körde inte så varierad kost.
 Köttbullarna var populära!
 Isak och Daniel.
Hanna, Christian och Anja vid julkrubban.

Silly faces!

First Piano Recital

Isak and Elina had their first Piano Recital at the beginning of December. They both did really well.

Isak played "The Medallion Calls" from Pirates of the Caribbean as well as "Joy to the World." He was disappointed he messed up a little on "Joy to the World."

LINK HERE to his performance.

Elina played a piece from her lesson book as well as "Come All Ye Faithful."

Cousin Fun!

We've had quite a few weekends with the cousins, Eliot and Merritt, this fall. We always look forward to seeing them and Uncle Jim.

 Sunday morning.
"The sun is too bright, mom!"

The girls wanted to pose with Uncle Jim!

Recap: Jackson Carnival and a few others

I am working full-time for the first time since having children. The school is called Jackson Elementary and Julia is a student there. In the fall the annual carnival was held. Here are a few pictures:

Pony rides! The normally extremely fearless Julia is DEATHLY afraid of tall horses. This is as large a horse as she will get on, and she doesn't want it to move. She will tell us by holding up her hand how small a horse she needs. She's talking about a Labrador.

 Carnival fun!

 Anja had a good time!

Elina spent her spare change and won a cake! :)
I helped out with the ponies the whole evening.
Anja rode a few times.
 Two of my co-workers.

Elina on a mule with Ms. Jenny Pratt, teacher of the year.

 Friends over at our house!

 Backyard fun!

Evidence that they really DO love each other.

This is Julia at the annual jog-a-thon fundraiser for Jackson, called the Tiger-Trot. I did not attend the Truman jog-a-thon because I am now a working mom, so no running pictures of Elina or Anja.
