Elina's First Lost Tooth

Overjoyed, Elina comes running into the kitchen, blood dripping down her chin: "Sofia pulled out my tooth! Sofia pulled out my tooth!"

"You look like a vampire!" Sofia cries back, and then adds: "Hopefully that tooth was already loose, right?"

As we snap some pictures Sofia remarks several times what a pointy and long root the tooth has. "I've never seen one like that before," she says.

The Tooth and The Gap

Then, as I go to take the close-up, below, I realize that the tooth that got pulled out was not the tooth that was loose (hence the longer root - no permanent tooth had shaved away at it yet). The loose tooth is still somewhat firmly in place, with the permanent tooth coming in behind it (Elina is no less ecstatic), but Mamma wanted the loose one out to make proper room for the new one.

Sofia, can you help?

They were playing horse, and Elina had a 'bit' in her mouth. Sofia yanked extra hard when the horse was disobedient.
