"Our" Nature Trail

I wanted, no, yearned for a country house where the kids would have access to and spend time in nature. But when we were house hunting last spring we found the perfect marriage between suburbia and country living with the house we ended up buying and currently live in. Mark likes to say that the woods, the trail, the creek and river are ours but without the price tag! And then we have the park on top of it that is mowed and maintained by others. Okay, so we can't have a pony here, but other than that, it is great. I should add that there is LOTS of Poison Ivy on the first, very narrow portion of the trail - or Poison Owee, as Anja likes to call it.

Isak pushes the full mile to the creek, then back again...

...and he likes to take pictures, too.

Mark picks sand plums, (and the kids too).

'Our' creek.

Flowers are in bloom this time of year...

...and there are lots of them...

 ...as you can see.

Julia LOVES the sand dunes.
