But it was great. The kids dug in the sand, waded and splashed in the river, played 'capture the flag' in the dark, sang camp fire songs (the Hinckley brothers were amazing). Elina and Anja enjoyed poking in the fire for a long, long time until their faces were burning with heat. This morning the brethren cooked breakfast while the kids dug some more in the sand. They made a sand tunnel that Isak was excited about, among other things. The sand is so fine and perfect to dig in. This camping spot is on private land that is very near 'our' stretch of the river that we often walk to. The pictures are very grainy because I didn't take any until after it got dark.
A budding pyromaniac?
2nd Ward around camp fire.
Elina and Anja spent over an hour here.
That's the river behind Elina.
